There are 2 variants of viewer lite and pro. Lite works exclusively with the Clockworks Server Lite, providing 4/4 beat counts, metronome, waveforms and basic track metadata. It will not work with viewer pro.
Both programs support automation and events via scripting. The Pro version includes a full lua runtime with the standard library, and the lite version has support for automation and events with TouchEngine.
Lite
To get clockworks viewer setup you will need to configure your network and initialize decks.
Open settings, and select the IP address to listen on. Keep the port unless you need to run your server or gateway on a different port.
Click Apply to save the changes. Note: Clicking apply disrupts audio so do so sparingly.
Once data is being sent, the viewer will register IP addresses under each deck. Open the drop down to set the source for each deck. You will also want to make sure to set the deck id. 1-4 is the norm.
Once this is done you will start to see data flowing.
To see on air indicators, set the mixer source up at the top.
By default any viewer that has multicast listen disabled acts as multicast distributor. Any other viewers on the network should set multicast listen to enabled to join the data group.
This is the recommended approach for having multiple viewers across a network.
