Clockworks Gateway bridges a Pro DJ Link network to CLX, so CDJs feed Clockworks Viewer without any DJ software in the chain. This guide takes you from a cabled rig to confirmed data in Viewer.

Gateway supports these models as of version 3:

Before you begin

• [ ] All players cabled to the Pro DJ Link switch and showing link IDs on their displays
• [ ] Gateway machine on the same Pro DJ Link network
• [ ] The destination IP for CLX — the machine running Viewer, or a subnet broadcast address
• [ ] UDP 3650 unblocked between Gateway and the CLX destination </aside>

A separate network for CLX is recommended but not required. Keeping show-critical Pro DJ Link traffic off the same segment as CLX gives you headroom and a cleaner failure domain.

Step 1 — Set the network config

The three settings at the top of the window are all you need to get data moving.

Pro DJ Link Interface — pick the interface your Pro DJ Link network is on from the dropdown.

CDJs prefer link-local addressing (169.254.x.x). Selecting the link-local interface is the recommended choice.
